High five for original title?? [denied]

Anyway, this is another birthday present for a friend of mine. She wanted my own rendition of Beauty and the Beast, with the Beast being butt-ugly and not cute like in the disney movie. D: [srsly. she has WAY too high of expectations for me]

The design of Beast is not mine. I was skimming through dA for inspiration and :iconunclepatrick:'s interpretation caught my eye. It was just really stunning, so I hope she doesn't mind that I use it [if you do, please tell me; I'll knock this off then].

Here's her picture, brilliant really: [link]

Okay... I AM proud of this though. Especially the coloring. I really wanted it to be a bit stylized, so I went wacky with the colors with my pencils and pastels [hahaha that's not new D:].

So... yeah. Enjoy.

What an amazing version of Beauty and the Beast. He is pretty ugly, which just makes me feel sympathetic for the poor guy, and her expression is wonderfully "please let me outta here!"
